OHIP LLC was developing land for several businesses to build on. They got in touch with us to handle the entire process. This included a grading plan, overall utility layout, drainage design, storm water detention design, sanitary sewer design, water line design, pavement design, erosion control, and the required construction notes.
We first met with OHIP to describe our vision of the finished project. We wanted to be sure we shared the same end goal. Once our project proposal and cost estimate were approved, we began our design process.
Now, we love what we do, and before we knew it, we were knee-deep in functional designs. As always, we made sure to keep OHIP in the loop as we progressed.
We then prepared several documents to send to the city for approval. This included our design for the drainage network, a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), DOTD permit, and a grading permit.
Extra care was taken into account for the design of the drainage network due to the unique location of this project. Positioned in the middle of the city, flood prevention was the controlling factor.
Although this project is not entirely complete, several businesses you may know are currently using some of the developed lots. These businesses include Chick-fil-A, Rotolo’s Craft & Crust, and Courtyard by Marriott.
